Shas leader Deputy Prime Minister Eli Yishai explains his meeting today, Thursday 5 Elul 5772 in Bnei Brak with Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita. Yishai played down the significance of the meeting, explaining it was one of his periodic meetings with the gadol hador to update him on pertinent events, a meeting that takes place every few months, and nothing more.

Yishai added that despite reports stating they discussed the Iranian threat, the topic was not raised during their half hour meeting. The meeting focused on the need to find a replacement for the Tal Law that addresses the issue of drafting avreichim.
