GRIDLOCK: Obama Back In Town For Two Manhattan Fundraisers

President Barack Obama will be back in the city today right in the middle of the evening rush. The president will be in town for two campaign events on Manhattan’s West Side.

He is expected to land at JFK Airport around 6 p.m. and leave around 11 p.m.

One of the events is a fundraising dinner being co-hosted by Michael Jordan and NBA Commissioner David Stern.

Before the president’s visit, some other NBA stars will gather at Chelsea Piers to raise money for his campaign.

Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and former Knick Patrick Ewing are among the players expected to take part in the first-ever Obama Classic.

The event includes an autograph session and a mini-camp, but President Obama will not be attending.

New Yorkers can expect traffic tie-ups while the president is in town.

  1. Oh my I think Obama likes New York more then any other state, even more then Chicago Illinois. He’s been here campaigning about ten times in the last year.
