Deputy Minister of Health Rav Yaakov Litzman is under attack by those who opposed his dental care reform plan explaining today it is clear to all the plan was intended to assist the chareidi sector.
The daily Maariv quotes a senior HMO official anonymously, stating that about twice the amount of chareidim have taken advantage of the government subsidized dental care for children than children from other sectors. “It was clear the plan was intended for chareidim. The chilonim use private dentists”.
A senior official in another HMO is quoted explaining that the chareidi sector is indeed taking advantage of the dental care more than others, citing more children and lower social economic standing as two reasons for the trend, explaining people with more money prefer to use private dentists. This official declined to provide numbers regarding chareidi and non-chareidi patients.
Yair Lapid recently attacked Litzman and his government dental care, for he feels that instead of worrying about the dental care intended by and large for the chareidi sector, the deputy health minister should have used the funds for the ailing HMO (Kupat Cholim) system that assists everyone in all sectors. Officials in Litzman’s office are not too concerned over the criticism, explaining the treasury was supportive of the initiative and the Health Ministry plans to raise the ceiling for teens eligible for care to18 in the coming years.

The new plan benefits CHILDREN. Those who have dogs, cats or robots do not benefit. BTW, those who have children also have a future and are the future of the nations. Those who prefer dogs, cats or robots are the true parasites of society and ultimately contribute nothing to Israel or the world.
