A suspected Nazi war criminal described how Jews ‘screamed like geese’ when they were shot, in a documentary set to be shown for the first time.
Jonas Pukas, a 78-year-old Lithuanian immigrant, even laughed as he said Holocaust victims ‘flew in the air’.
He gave the disturbing police tape interview at his home in New Zealand in 1992 and the audio from it forms part of the film Nazi Hunter, which will be screened tomorrow.
The meeting was conducted by then Detective Wayne Stringer, who was investigating a list of 47 possible war criminals that the New Zealand government had received from the Nazi-hunting Simon Wiesenthal Centre.
Pukas died in 1994 at the age of 80.

Why do we care what someone allegedly said twenty years ago and who has been dead for almost 20 years?! Do we write articles about what each and every investigated person said who died since 1945? I don’t understand the importance of this story. There are many such documentaries. I don’t get it.

Though I am outraged, there is one good part of this. It proves to all those who dont believe that the Holocaust happened that it did indeed happen. With statements from the monsters themselves they cannot deny what they did! He is paying the price now that he died. The ultimate judge is taking care of him and all the other monsters like him!
Your headline is like a knife in the heart. To give over the words of this animal that compares human beings, our beloved anscestors…and their pain and suffering as he does — I dont want to repeat– is disgusting and incredibly painful and insensitive.
