TGI Reports on the Chareidi Dailies & Weeklies in Eretz Yisrael


TGI has published its findings pertaining to the circulation of Israel’s chareidi dailies & weeklies. The survey compares the past year (July 2011 – June 2012) compared to the year 2011 as a whole, this trend can be seen in changes that occurred during the past six months.

Yated Ne’eman Hebrew emerges the victor with an increase in exposure from 41.6% of the market to 43.5%. This refers to weekdays, including the free Tuesday edition. Regarding the weekend edition, the newspaper increased from 19.8% to 22.7%.

The others remain stable more or less, with HaMevaser increasing almost 5% (10.8% to 11.3%) and Hamodia reporting a decline from 19.7% to 19.5%.

WEEKEND (Hebrew)

Hamodia – 18.5% increased to 18.6%.

HaMevaser – 9.2% to 10.2%

WEEKLIES (Hebrew)

Mishpacha – 21.4% to 22.3%

BaKehilla – 13.9% to 12.2%

Shar Tova – 3.3% to 3.0%

Yom L’Yom (Shas) – 4.9% to 6.0%

  1. This would be more meaningful if you included the numbers themselves. We can’t tell from this if the readership increased or decreased.
