Egypt has present a framework for a future prisoner exchange between Jerusalem and Hamas in Gaza, al-Quds reports Thursday, 23 Elul. What is significantly different in this report is states Hamas has entered the secretive talks without preconditions, signaling a change from previous third-party negotiations.
According to the new Egyptian proposal, Israel would transfer 39 bodies it is holding, which includes the bodies of 19 Hamas terrorists killed in the recent round of terror attacks in exchange for information on the fate of the missing Israeli civilians and the bodies of Israeli soldiers.
Israel will then have to release terrorists whom have been re-arrested since the Shalit prisoner exchange. Egypt is awaiting Hamas’ response to this propose formula.
