A number of youths were seen running away from the “Welcome to Yerushalayim” sign in a rainbow of colors as the to’eva community R”L prepares for the Thursday night parade in Jerusalem. Police opened an investigation. Jerusalem City Hall officials have repainted the sign.

A protest against the parade will take place at 17:30 in Kikar Shabbos, arranged by the Eida Chareidis. As in past years, the Eida feels a protest is required to express outrage over the to’eva event in the capital but it prefers to hold the event at another venue to prevent confrontation and to avoid bringing additional media to the unacceptable event.
