35 hesder yeshiva talmidim were among the soldiers reporting to the Bakum Induction Base last Sunday. Additional talmidim reported for service on Tuesday, 5 Menachem Av 5772 and more are set to report next week, with hesder officials reporting 80 non-combatants will be in this group for a total of 500 hesder talmidim for the summer induction, with 80% serving in combat units.

Some of the new inductees next week will be reporting with a gemara in hand, planning their Siyum HaShas in the Bakum Base.
