President Shimon Peres on Thursday morning made a shiva visit to the aveilim at 10 Chana Street in Meah Shearim, the home of Posek HaDor Maran Rav Elyashiv ZT”L.
Mr. Peres told the aveilim that the issue of bnei yeshivos was most important to Rav Elyashiv as was the issur to visit Har HaBayis, Ladaat.net reports. Peres also stated how Rav Elyashiv always ran away from Kavod, but Kavod always ran after Rav Elyashiv.

President Peres is a Tzadik Gomur for having made this Shiva visit, in addition to having dispalyed Kovod haTorah.
Furthermore:- If no-one goes the 1st 3 days, how would there be a Minyan the 1st 3 days??
#1 friends and family can come before 3 days. He probably is a close friend.
Peres was right that the issue of drafting charedim was most important to Rav Elyashiv ztuk”l. If he’s such a close friend he should try to abolish it and earn some merit.

Apparently some people only know how to criticize. What a shame. I wonder what mindset one has to be in to read the above story and come up with such a statement.
Again, while soemtimes there are posts that reflect inaccurate information it is still possible to direct responses respectfully and without sarcasm. In most cases a person may be acting on misinformation and doesn’t mean any harm. It is up to each of us to set the tone in this forum.
Peres isn’t such an awful man.
I think if we could get Peres, Mofaz and Yishai to lead Israel, it would become an amazing country. They would be the perfect trio for peace between everyone – chareidim and chilonim and Arabs.
