With the threat of the government passing a new draft law rabbonim around the world are growing increasingly concerned regarding the fate of yeshivos in Eretz Yisrael. HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Halevy Wosner Shlita and Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita have released a letter calling for the tefilos of the children in talmidei torah worldwide, the תינוקות של בית רבן.

Text of the letter follows:

“כידוע, שמידת הדין מתוחה, וכל קיומה של תורה תלוי בה, שרוצים לבטל תורה מישראל רחמנא ליצלן. וכהיום התורה הקדושה פונה אלינו: התחננו והרבו בבקשה לפני צור נערץ בקדושה, נותן התורה. וכידוע כוחם של תינוקות של בית רבן ילדי ישראל שלא טעמו טעם חטא.

“על כן, הננו לבקש שכל ילדי ישראל בכל מקום שהם יעמדו בתפילה ביום ו’ ערב שבת פרשת פנחס כ-20 דקות, לבקש ולהתחנן, וכל מקום ומקום כפי שיראו לנכון ובזמן המתאים.

“אין כוחנו אלא בפה, יש לקרוע שערי שמים כי נפשנו בשאלתינו. והשי”ת ישמע קול שוועתנו ויחיש לנו פדיון נפשנו”.

In addition, the gedolei hador shlita have called upon the tzibur to recite the following chapters of tehillim. 13, 20, 77, 121, 130, 142.

Special tefilos are being arranged around the world for this coming Thursday, erev rosh chodesh Menachem Av.
