London: Avreich Beaten in an Assault in Stamford Hill

Another anti-Semitic attack reported in Europe, this time in the Stamford Hill area of London. An avreich was badly beaten on Wednesday, during the afternoon hours, the daily HaMevaser reports. The attack occurred near the Yisod HaTorah building.

Four black males began taunting the victim, knocking his hat off and verbally abusing him with anti-Semitic epithets. At one point the avreich tried to run away from them but he was not successful. They held him down and beat him without mercy for a number of minutes.

Members of the local Shomrim saved him and pursued the assailants. Police arrived on the scene as well and the attackers were taken into custody. The avreich’s condition is reported to be “moderate-to-serious” and he was transported to a local hospital.
