Youths who are ‘off the derech’ are believed responsible for vandalism attacks in two Yerushalayim yeshivos over Shabbos located on Shmuel HaNavi Street. Some chareidi media are referring to the attacks as a “pogrom”.
According to one report, the youths entered a dormitory at 03:00 and began threatening talmidim. The four assailants accompanied by a dog entered the Shaare Torah Yeshiva and ransacked the place, turning over table and chairs and threatening talmidim. From there it appears they went to the Dushinsky Yeshiva nearby and caused a considerable amount of damage including damage to furniture and smashing windows. They threatened the students with a retaliatory attack if they report the incident to police.
According to a Kikar Shabbat report, it appears the students from Dushinska plan to file a complaint with police. It is unknown if the other yeshiva will follow suit.

What does “off the derech” mean?!
What does “off the derech” mean?!
it means using unfiltered internet
Why do the yeshiva students allow this to happen? Don’t they have the ability to fight back or are they a bunch of meek talmidim who are frightened by a bunch of OTD guys simply trying to create and incident.
How can they be off the derech? They were never in the IDF!
