Police investigators working with Ministry of Transportation officials have reenacted the fatal ride taken by the Atias family z”l in Tiveria in May 2012, in which all but one member of the family was killed. The inspectors rode in a Mitsubishi van, the same model driven by Rabbi Rafael Atias on that day when the van veered out of control and flipped into a ravine, killing eight family members.
The lone survivor, Rachel Efrat, now lives with an aunt and uncle in Tzfas.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fatal crash, and at present, remain unwilling to rule out the possibility that the gas pedal jammed and the crash may not have been the result of brake failure as speculated.
Vehicular crash investigators admit that due to the intensity of the fire that resulted following the crash, and the subsequent destruction caused by the blaze, some of the questions may never be answered beyond the scope of the theoretical since it may not be possible to establish scientific proof with the evidence that remains intact.

“The inspectors rode in a Mitsubishi van”
#1, why didn’t they use dummies???
#2,how was no one hurt?!? They mustve not crashed the van the way the Atius family did because 8 people were killed in the Atius crash and there were no fatalities by this “reenactment”!
They tried but all the dummies were on yw or in the mountains for the summer. None were available. Even I was to busy to participate.
