Federal, state, and local authorities donned HAZMAT suits and took part in a terror response drill at JFK airport on Saturday night.

Emergency responders trained through a scenario that included hundreds of actors portraying injured passengers.

Over 200 firefighters, police and federal agents displayed their skills in a real life scenario involving smoke to the 500 volunteers who performed the role of victims.

The responders reacted to a staged JetBlue plane crash into a hangar flanked with smoke machines and 350 victims, and a car bombing into a passenger terminal and exploding – also with smoke and victims.

The intense drill was planned a year ago and was designed to test coordination and communication between more than 20 agencies.

During the drill, evaluators kept and eye on the response effort and will be preparing an overall assessment report.

Numerous Hatzolah ambulances from all over NYC participated in the drill. Approximetly 50 Hatzolah volunteers, including Paramedics, Doctors & Coordinators were part of the drill as well.
