An Egged driver conducting a routine search for suspicious packages on his bus at the end of his line discovered a bag which contained 39,000 NIS in cash. The money was found on a 940 bus that traveled from Yerushalayim to Haifa. After passengers got off, the driver carried out a security inspection of the vehicle as required.
It appears the money belongs to an avreich. The funds were raised for hachnasas kallah and a pair of tefillin. Baruch Hashem, the driver turned it in and the avreich, a resident of Tirat HaCarmel was located and the money returned.
