The Hatzalah dispatcher received a call for an unconscious male on Eshel Street in Bnei Brak at about 22:00 Wednesday night. The victim was a driver who was targeted in a violent assault and attempted robbery. His injuries were described as light-to-moderate.
Ushi Slomovitz of Hatzalah Gush Dan explained that the victim was transported to Tel Hashomer Hospital, adding “it appears it was a robbery since there was thousands of NIS in the vehicle”.
According to Tzvi Gil of United Hatzalah, the driver was attacked by four males who fled.
It appears the attempted robbery was unsuccessful. The area was closed down and at least some of the perpetrators were reportedly apprehended.
