Beitar Illit Family Was Once “Normal”

(COMMUNICATED CONTENT)
Hadassah Hoffman of Beitar Illit was a normal mother of 9, on her way to an engagement party one evening, when a truck slammed into her car at full force. The next morning, while she lay in a hospital bed in a coma, her frightened family gathered around her, her name spread throughout Israeli news.
Hadassah’s husband, who had previously worked full time to support their family, was forced to leave his job in order to accompany her in Hadassah Ein Karem hospital. This left the Hoffman teenagers in charge of looking after the home, and the younger children. Their aunt, Sara Fuchs, has done her best to provide for the children, but has a large family of her own.
Mrs. Fuchs posted a raw & emotional video [below] on Thursday, on behalf of her sister’s family. The 9 children are understandably traumatized, and reportedly living in a state of exteme poverty. “Their house is empty, completely empty of everything,” she says to the camera, her voice wrought with emotion.
Tzedaka organization Kupat Ha’Ir has since stepped in to help.. Those close to the Hoffmans pray that Mrs. Hoffman will wake up from her coma, and return home one day soon. Either way, it seems they will never be a “normal family” again.
Contributions are being collected for the family HERE for a limited time.

Donations can also be made to Kupat Ha’Ir foundation #7013
