An Arkia Airline flight from Sdei Dov Airport in the Tel Aviv region to Eilat was forced to make an emergency landing as the right engine caught fire. The flight departed at 16:25 on Sunday, and the notification of the engine fire came about 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled landing.

The airport activated emergency landing procedures and the plane touched down as ambulances and fire trucks were standing by. The passengers used the emergency exit to disembark. There were 70 people on board including passengers and crew.
