Rav Elyashiv Remains Critical/Stable

According to reports from Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim, Maran Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv Shlita remains in critical/stable condition.

Medical director Prof. Yonatan Halevy is quoted as saying that the fact that a 102-year-old person can endure that which the posek hador’s body is fighting is beyond the norm, and this is apparent to all. When asked if the rav’s condition is still viewed as life threatening, the response was “yes”.

The tzibur is requested to continue being mispallel for Rav Yosef Sholom ben Chaya Musha b’soch kol cholei am yisrael.

  1. It says in seforim and it is mekubal that when being mispalel for a choleh, not to use any titles, just the name and mothers name, so as not to be meorer dinim, and that in the pesence of Hashem, as in the presence of a King no one is called by his title. So please stop the stupidity and just be mispales for “Yosef Sholom ben Chaya Musha” Lirfuah Sheleima b’toch shar cholei Yisroel.

  2. To NO. 1.

What do you find offensive about “Maran Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv Shlita”….which of those honorific titles do you object to? The tzibur can be mispallel for the rav using ANY name they want and the Ebeshter will understand and respond if the tefillah is sincere. The last time I checked, HK”BH is able to decipher on whose behalf we are being mispallel and doesn’t object to showing kavod to his gadolim.

  3. #2, chill out. He finds nothing offensive with the title, but it needs to be in its correct context. By keil malei rachamim, one refers to the deceased by his plain name and his mothers name. Its the same concept. #1 is correct and you are wrong
