PM Netanyahu: 300 Families Will Join Beit El

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu released a statement a short time ago to explain his policy regarding the homes in the Ulpana neighborhood of Beit El. Mr. Netanyahu stated that he is not abandoning the families of Beit El, but the government is bound to adhere to the High Court of Justice and as such, the homes in question must be removed.

The prime minister stated the families impacted by the decision will “remain in Beit El and they will be joined by 300 families” as he remains committed to building additional homes for each building that must be dismantled and relocated in line with the court decision.

Five buildings, each home to six families must be moved as a result of the court order.

Things are heating up in the capital as right-wing protesters are angered as a result of the defeat of the Beit El bill in Knesset today, Wednesday, 16 Sivan 5772. In the Beit HaKerem area, protestors have set garbage receptacles ablaze and pushed them onto the light rail tracks, bringing train service in the area to a halt. A number of arrests have been made.

  1. of course our dear arab m.k.s will vote against a bill allowing Jews to remain in their homes they bought and paid for. Of course the self hating left wing has to join in with the arabs to show how just they are!
We have to come to the comnclusion that in reality Eretz Yisroel belong to Am Yisroel and no goy has a right to own land or property here! They can rent it from us if they are peaceful and follow the 7 Noahide Laws!It is time for the Jewish People to take their head out of the sand!

  2. Yeah, right. The homes will be destroyed, and the new homes will then be blocked by the same court. Meanwhile the Arab who falsely claims to own the land will insist on moving in with a few hundred of his best friends from Hamas.

the government is bound to adhere to the High Court of Justice

No, it is not. That is the root of all the problems. It is well past time that an Israeli government told these self-appointed dictators where to go. This issue is as good an opportunity to do so as any.

Netanyahu swore by the fresh graves of Etta and Efrayim Tzur that this neighbourhood would never be evacuated. Now it is time for him to make good on that oath, or show the world that he has no honour.
