Bnei Brak Fingerprints Lead to Apprehension of Kupat Ha’Ir Tzedaka Thief


The Bnei Brak office of Kupat Ha’Ir on Shimshon HaGibor Street was broken into during Shavuos. A large sum of money was stolen in the break-in. Baruch Hashem, the thief was apprehended by police on Tuesday.

After the break-in, police encountered the thieves on HaMasgeir Street and they began chasing the suspects on foot. Luckily, one of the suspects pushed the police car door closed, providing a clear fingerprint for investigators.

That 33-year-old Tel Aviv resident was apprehended on Tuesday, and the stolen safe that contained the money was recovered, and it too contained the suspect’s fingerprints. The suspect has been remained and ordered held over for an additional three days as the investigation continues.

  1. This is ridiculous. The police only act when they witness a crime face to face. Don’t bother calling the police in Israel unless you’ve been physically attacked. Robbery is barely even considered a crime.
