HaGaon HaRav Nissim Toledano ZT”L, a member of the Degel HaTorah Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael and rosh yeshiva of Yeshivat Sheirit Yosef in Be’er Yaakov was niftar on shabbos afternoon in Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer in Tel Aviv.

The rav’s kidney’s stopped functioning in recent months and his overall physical health deteriorated considerately as a result. The rav was 82 at the time of his petira.

The rav learned in London during his youth, under Rav Moshe Schneider ZT”L, and then move to Gateshead and Ponevezh.

He established his yeshiva at the age of 30, and continued for the next half century.

The levaya begins on Sunday, 13 Sivan 5772 at the yeshiva at noon. The kvura will be in the Ponevezh Beis Hachaim in Bnei Brak.
