Neutral Switzerland Joins the Anti-Israel Boycott

In Israel it is called a boycott, but according to officials of Switzerland’s Migros supermarket chain, they are not participating in the anti-Israel boycott as is the case in South Africa, but they are just being more transparent to permit shoppers to purchase only the items they wish.

The attempt to sweet talk the decision to mark all imports from the “West Bank” or “East Jerusalem” is a decision by the nation’s leading supermarket to tag items originating in yishuvim or areas viewed as “occupied E. Jerusalem” by the international community, which simply refers to all areas of the capital liberate from Jordanian occupation in the Six Day War.

Migros officials insist that they are not boycotting Israel and the decision should not be interpreted as anything more than another step towards increased transparency towards enhanced customer satisfaction.

  1. What about products from North and South Korea, Hon kong and Taiwan and China? Are these also indicated on a label or is it honorable anti-semitism that motivates Switzerland to pinpoint areas of dispute?
