Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has signed an agreement with US Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano by which Israel has joined the Global Entry program.
The program facilitates entry for citizens of either country into the other, intended for frequent flyers such as diplomats, businesspeople, or one who simply visits frequently.
Lieberman stated that this is yet another sign of the unique and unshakable bond between the two countries.

I have Global Entry for my US returns from Israel. It costs $100 for a 5 year “membership.” They must check your background, and then they’ll schedule an interview (don’t worry, it’s on the light side) about a month after you apply. Go to http://www.globalentry.gov to apply.
It saves me at least 1/2 hour of waiting on each return flight from Israel. If you travel to/from Israel (or any country) at least once yearly, it seems to be worthwhile for $20 / year!
