Police on Wednesday afternoon 21 Iyar entered Meah Shearim and made a number of arrests, persons who they feel are connected to the burning of chareidi IDF soldiers (Chardakim) in effigy on Lag B’Omer.

Three youths were taken into custody as police have expended significant manpower and resources since Lag B’Omer to learn their identities. The suspects are reportedly 21, 15 and 11-years-old. Parents of the minors were called and they are in the custody of child services.

A police spokesman emphasizes “This is the first stage” and the investigation is continuing to determine if others were involved.
