In this morning’s Daily News an article appeared (posted earlier on YWN), written by Eli Beer of United Hatzalah of Israel, which commented on the state of emergency medical services in New York City.
The public should be aware that United Hatzalah of Israel is in no way affiliated or connected with New York Chevra Hatzalah Volunteer Ambulance Corps and in no way represents its views or opinions.
New York Hatzalah, the largest volunteer ambulance service in the United States, operates more than 70 ambulances with more than 1,200 EMTs and Paramedics. We respond to more than 50,000 medical emergencies which includes over 26,000 transports to local hospitals annually and are known for our life-saving services.
New York Hatzalah operates 24/7/365, in close and full cooperation with New York City Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) and New York City Police Department (NYPD).
We have the highest admiration and regard for the hard-working uniformed services personnel in NYC. We attach great value to our daily working relationship with NYC emergency response agencies and look forward to continued cooperation in saving the lives of New Yorkers.

“We attach great value to our daily working relationship with NYC emergency response agencies” , true but that is politics and if you want to operate you have to make sure that everything is peaches and cream with the government agencies , however in some sections they do not have the same respect for the members who go on the calls all day and all night.
And just because your name is Cohen, Shwartz or Friedman does mean you’re all related. Eli Beer should have made it very clear that his comments represent his own opinion and are not on behalf of ANY organization.
