The President’s Residence reported that President Shimon Peres was diagnosed with a hernia during his visit to Canada. He received immediate treatment and continued with his agenda for the trip.
According to the statement, Peres was expected to undergo a surgery to repair the hernia upon his return to Israel on Friday afternoon. He is set to be discharged from the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer on Sunday.
