In these dark days where the pictures of Bnai Torah are in the news blocking traffic and disturbing the peace or being carted off to jail for terrorizing advertisers, it is refreshing to be reminded that the overwhelming majority of Roshei Yeshiva and Bnai Torah of Eretz Yisroel are united under the Lev L’Achim banner caring about their fellow Jews and reaching out to bring them closer to Yiddishkeit.

Don’t let the news confuse you! The Olam HaTorah is learning and teaching and doing chessed. It is only a miniscule minority who are busy with politics and machlokes but unfortunately it is they who get the headlines…
