The public will soon have access to some of Osama bin Laden’s documents seized when US special forces raided his Pakistan compound and killed him almost a year ago to the date.
White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan confirmed Monday in a speech in Washington, D.C., that the trove would be made available this week by West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center.
Brennan said the documents collected at the compound show how al Qaeda has had trouble replacing its most skilled and experienced commanders because of the US efforts to fight terrorism.
“This is one of the many conclusions we have been able to draw from documents seized at bin Laden’s compound, some of which will be published online, for the first time, this week by West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center,” he told his audience at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
“Morale is low, with intelligence indicating that some members are giving up and returning home, no doubt aware that this is a fight they will never win,” Brennan added.
“In short, al Qaeda is losing, badly. And bin Laden knew it. In documents we seized, he confessed to ‘disaster after disaster.’ He even urged his leaders to flee the tribal regions, and go to places, ‘away from aircraft photography and bombardment.'”

Is Obuma going to use these selected documents to show how he destroyed them? All polotics!

In other words, exactly what Bush said was happening. So much for the claim of the Democrats, including Obama, that the war was only creating more recruits for al Qaeda.
I the picture!
