Vice Premier Moshe Ya’alon stated that regarding the Iranian nuclear threat, the real question is “When will the knife be at our throats?”
Speaking at a cultural event in Beersheva, Ya’alon, who is a former IDF chief of staff and serves as Minister of Strategic Affairs in the current administration, warned the Iranian threat is increasing.
The senior official spoke of the comparison between 1938 and today, stating there simply is no comparison regarding today’s threats to Israel and the Holocaust. Regarding the reaction of the Western nations however, he feels that are some similarities regarding efforts to remain non-confrontational, to avoid the confrontation, to push off realities to next year, to compromise and sacrifice. In this regard he feels little has changed.
He spoke of the “extremist jihad ideology” that drives the enemy, an enemy who will not be appeased by dialogue alone.
“There is no Mideast conflict without some negative Iranian involvement and the Western community must respond to this threat” he concluded.

It is the ‘extremist ideology’ that you fear because in the end the faction with the stronger belief system prevails. That is the story of Jewish survival through the ages without the need for a crutch such as a sovereign territorial claim but rather by means of a tenacious faith. Therefore let your ears hear what your mouth is saying and search within your soul for the answers you seek.
