Bnei Brak officials report that prior to Pesach, 11,650 tons of garbage were removed by the city’s sanitation department. City officials add that in an average month, 7,000 tons of garbage is collected.

HaMevaser reports that nationwide, 637 tons of garbage was removed on erev Pesach in 87 trucks. On motzei yomtov, 5323 tons of garbage was collected in 66 trucks.

There was also a record in plastic bottle recycling, 15,300 tons on erev yomtov, comprised of some 335,000 plastic bottles and 3,000 glass bottles.
