A notice was publicized on Sunday, 23 Nissan 5772 in Meah Shearim in the name of HaGaon HaRav Moshe Brandsdorfer Shlita challenging the kashrus of the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak mikve. The notice refers to the mikve in the basement of the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Beis Medrash in the community. The official notice was released in the name of Heichal HaTorah, which is headed by the rav.
The rav explains the mikve was built by his late father zt”l, with all the possible hiddurim at the time, but since then, changes were made without consulting with experts and today there is a doubt as to the kashrus of the mikve.
“This presents a michshol for the tzibur that believes the mikve is kosher D’oraisa, and recently, we are told a convert used this mikve, a major problem due to questions regarding its kashrus”.
Rav Brandsdorfer explains he is therefore compelled to publicize this so those requiring a kosher mikve D’oraisa, such as a convert, not to rely on this mikve.
The rav concludes by calling on those responsible to make necessary changes to restore the mikve to its former state.

The goyim worry about interest rates and nukes, as if those matters aren’t all in the hands of HaShem. We worry about fine points of halacha.
Question: why do this as a public notice and not through those responsible for the mikve?
who believes the posters anyway?
We can all rest asured that HaGaon HaRav Moshe Brandsdorfer Shlita first spoke to the Toldos Avraham Yitzchok Rebbe about this problem, but to no avail. Then he tried all other types of Hishtadluss to have it corrected “shtillehr heitt” before going PUBLIC with this story. You know, like let THAT Reebe notify the people that have to know, that there is a problem.
What is the controversy?
If the rav’s comment was meant to cast doubt upon the legitimacy of the conversion of this individual it is the worse kind of lashon harah and should be strongly condemned since it could result in his/her being considered a goy and the children of any marriage would be mamzerim
Gadolhadorah:
INCORRECT
get your facts straight!! the child of a couple in which either parent isnt jewish does NOT make the offspring a mamzer
gadol hador dont you know that there are no mamzerim through a jew-goy marriage. it just goes after the mom.
individual it is the worse kind of lashon harah
In his oponion the convert is still a goy so there is no loshon harah
To the gadol hador if someone marries a goy the children are not mamzairim.
To a gitah yid how could you make a statement that the rebba didn’t listen to rav bronsdorfer that’s just as bad as saying rav bronsdorfer hung the letters without speaking to the rebba
So, what is the controversy?
