Hundreds of chassidim gathered in the central shul in Breslov community of Yavniel on motzei Shabbos to be mispallel for the “Tzaddik from Yavniel”, Rav Eliezer Shlomo [ben Malka] Shick. The members of the kehila learned the Admor suffered a massive heart attack while in New York on Shabbos. Some chassidim traveled to the Tziyun of Rav Meir Bal HaNess to be mispallel on motzei Shabbos.

It is now being reported that following consultation with R’ Elimelech Fuehrer, who in turn spoke with a senior professor abroad, the surgical intervention decided upon was successful and the rav’s condition is improving significantly Baruch Hashem.

Kikar Shabbat reports the rav was taken in for open heart surgery on Sunday morning, 23 Nissan 5772 at 02:40 Israel time.

The tzibur is requested to continue being mispallel for the admor.
