At the invitation of newly elected Representative Randy Fine Rabbi Zvi Konikov of Chabad of the Space & Treasure Coasts was chaplain of the day on March 22, 2017.

Rabbi Zvi Konikov delivered the opening prayer before the House session. Rabbi Zvi Konikov also installed mezuzahs in Rep Fine’s new office.
Randy and Wendy Fine have become close friends of Rabbi K and Chabad and are responsible for drawing many new figures, prominent leaders in community such as ​​Sheriff Wayne Ivey to Chabad including the Chanukah grand lighting.​

Representative Fine later shared on Facebook: “It was my honor to host Rabbi Zvi Konikov as our Chaplain for the Day in the Florida House. His words were deeply felt by all members and I am grateful to Speaker Richard Corcoran for giving me this privilege on just our third day of floor business. Rabbi Konikov was kind of enough to stay in Tallahassee for a few extra minutes to help me place a mezuzah on the door of my office to bless all those who enter it.”
