Chasdei Lev is looking for volunteers in Brooklyn to assist in their annual Pesach food distribution in Brooklyn.
Volunteers are needed from 10:30 AM – 5:00PM at the Cyclones Stadium in Coney Island, 1904 Surf Ave.
Hot meals will be served all day for volunteers.

Chasdei Lev is an all volunteer organization started in the Flatbush community, and has expanded to serving 154 yeshivas in the Tri-Sate area including all segments of Klal Yisroel. Over 2,600 dedicated Rabbeim and their families will benefit from this distribution.

Yes, wonderful! But if our organizations won’t start recognizing that our women teachers also support their families we will head down a dangerous road of incompetent educators for our daughters. I would say we are already there! Ask principals how difficult it is to find good teachers and keep them! Let’s remember they support their families too and most have husbands in kollel just like rebbes have stay at home wives! If we don’t offer help to them they can’t afford to keep teaching our kids once they have families and we end up with all inexperienced teachers and our children the scapegoats. Kudos to those schools who help support their women teachers and enable them to stay on! But our society has to recognize that this problem is getting worse by the years and teachers will become specialists because there is no incentive for them to stay in the school system! Would it be so terrible if your organization offered help to married women too?
