A new bill would allow New York City drivers to use their leftover parking time when they move to another meter.
The bill will be the subject of an April 23 City Council hearing.
According to the New York Post, it would allow drivers to use leftover time on their muni-meter receipts.
Council Speaker Christine Quinn says “if you buy the time, you should get to use it.”
There’s one small catch. Drivers would have to find a parking spot that cost the same, or less than, their previous space.

Current law in NYC already allows this. Even if you bought it from a LESS expensive parking meter.
