Israel Police today moved to heightened operational status ahead of Pesach. Police will be operating at level 3, one level below a state of emergency.

As usual, special emphasis will be focused on sensitive areas, areas that officials realize terrorists would like to strike. This includes Yerushalayim, especially the Old City and Kosel area.

Many residents and visitors alike will be visiting the Old City and the Kosel during yomtov and police deployment will remain heavy to ensure the yomtov passes without incident.

Magen David Adom, the nation’s emergency medical service provider will also be heightening its operational status ahead of yomtov.
