14:15 IL: Minister of Public Security Yitzchak Aharonovich who was visiting the Shar Shechem area of Jerusalem’s Old City confirmed there are a number of areas where controlled violence is taking place but stated the situation is under control.
At the Kalandia Checkpoint, soldiers were attacked with numerous firebombs, compelling them to begin taking an offensive position in the hope of dispersing the rioters, now numbering in the hundreds. Firebombs have also been hurled at soldiers at the Beit Lechem Checkpoint in southern Yerushalayim. Violence is also reported in Hebron and the Erez Crossing in Gaza.
There are no reports of injuries to IDF troops at any of the locations Baruch Hashem.
14:24: PA (Palestinian Authority) parliamentarian Mustafa Barghouti injured in the head at the Kalandia Checkpoint violence, apparently struck with a teargas canister. He is being transported to a Ramallah hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
At the Erez Crossing in Gaza, ambulances responding to treat wounded from IDF gunfire at the hundreds of Arabs making their way to the crossing from Gaza into Southern Israel.
14:32: Jordanian media reports 20,000 people are taking part in the Global March to Jerusalem, heading to the border with Israel. There are no reports of violence at this time.
14:41: Sources in Gaza report a youth has been killed by IDF gunfire at Erez Crossing and a journalist was seriously injured. There is no IDF confirmation or denial at this time. In Jerusalem, five rioters arrested on Sultan Suleiman Street in the eastern capital along with two rioters in the Old City.
15:00: At least 14 Arabs arrested in eastern Jerusalem violence and attacks against police. PA parliamentarian Mustafa Barghouti reported in serious condition in a Ramallah Hospital. He was hit in his head with a teargas canister in the violence against soldiers at the Kalandia Checkpoint in the northern capital.
15:05: Hundreds of Israeli Arabs marching in Taibeh, an Israeli municipality. There are no reports of disturbances.
Violence continues in Shomron near Ramallah and Shechem, as well as in Hebron, Erez Crossing to Gaza, Kalandia Checkpoint in the northern capital, and areas of eastern Jerusalem. There are no reports of violence following the conclusion of Islamic prayer services on Har HaBayis.
Soldiers and police are using riot-control adjuncts, including teargas and water cannons. At least 14 arrests were made. There are no reports of injuries to security forces Baruch Hashem.
