3:45PM EST: Sources at Central Hatzolah tell YWN that all emergency numbers are back up and running, and the situation has been resolved – after a nearly two-hour downtime. Apparently Verizon had received an order to move some Hatzolah lines from one location to another, but some Verizon employee instead terminated their lines in error. An investigation has been launched as to why this has happened.

Please disregard the alternative number used that was published below as a temporary line.

Additionally, Hatzolah advises people NOT call the numbers “just to try it out”, and only call Hatzolah is you have a medical emergency.

FIRST REPORT 2:00PM EST: YWN has just been advised that there is a serious technical issue with Hatzolah’s emergency lines. If you have a medical emergency in the NYC area, and need Hatzolah, please call 718-998-8775.

DO NOT try to call the regular emergency lines (718-387-1750 or 718-230-1000) “just to try it out”.

As soon as this issue is corrected, YWN will publish an update.
