Terror Victim Remains Comatose


Michal Asulin, the mother of 15-year-old Odelya Asulin, explains that a year after the terror attack that injured her daughter, she remains in a comatose state.

On March 23, 2011 a terror attack occurred opposite the Jerusalem Convention Center (Binyanei Ha’uma). Mary Jean Gardner, a 55-year-old British national who was studying at the Hebrew University was killed and about 50 people wounded in the attack. Among the wounded was Odelya, a resident of Beit El, the oldest of seven children. A piece of shrapnel entered her head and she has been comatose since. Doctors did not expect her to last more than a few hours, yet she continues to defy the odds, albeit in a coma.

For her mother, family and friends there is the power of tefilla and Mrs. Asulin explained to Arutz-7 Hebrew News that they have not ceased davening for a moment. They have davened 40 days at the Kosel, 40 days at Kever Chida, visit with rabbonim and admorim, and they will continue with the realization that there is a great power in tefilla.

The tzibur is urged to continue davening for Odelya Nechama bas Michal b’soch kol cholei am yisrael.
