An IDF soldier was stabbed in the neck by an Arab terrorist near Yatah in the Hebron district. The attacker was shot dead. A second terrorist was shot and wounded. The terrorist was transported to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.
According to unconfirmed reliable sources, the soldier is listed in moderate condition.
17:10 IL: It is now being reported that the attacker lunged at the soldier as the latter was trying to take him into custody. The attacker, who was shot dead, was released from prison in the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange.

The terrorist that was killed was not one of the ones that was released in the Shalit deal. According to the latest reports (http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/153576) the attack took place while the IDF was trying to arrest one of the terrorists that was released in the Shalit deal. A different arab terrorist attacked the soldiers who were trying to make the arrest and stabbed one Jewish soldier. He was the terrorist who was subsequently killed.

You botched this one pretty badly. The attacker was NOT killed, nor was he released in the Shalit deal. What actually happened is that soldiers were sent into an Arab village to arrest a different, 39 year-old terrorist who was released in the Shalit deal. A teenage terrorist stabbed one of the soldiers, who fired back killing a third Arab who was with him. The attacker was wounded by the gunfire but not killed.
Baruch Hashem our soldier will recover . Meanwhile – the NY times has 2 pages in todays edition with color pictires , on the the front page , reporting how vicious the IDF is against peace loving Palestinians.

bsd we have merited to c once again how competent(confident) our “leaders” are in making sure that only people who pose “no danger” are relased in these prsiner swaps.and they wonder y we have not trusted politicians for the last many yrs

prisoner exchanges are not simple decisions
Baruch Hashem they shot and killed that unmentionable. If they would kill more often, instead of putting in prison and then releasing, we would all be better off!
