Minister of Finance Dr. Yuval Shteinitz blames the sharp increase in gasoline and electricity on Iran. The minister told the press that this is the price citizens have to pay because of the sanctions imposed on Iran and the cessation in the flow of gas from Egypt.

Shteinitz explained that everything possible was done to minimize the increase, but this is simply the reality and there is no alternative. He adds that we must accept the situation and call for even sterner sanctions against Iran.
