A worrisome message emanated from Shaare Zedek Medical Center during the night concerning the condition of Maran Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv Shlita. According to reports, the rav has pneumonia, a serious case, and this is further taxing his weakened physical condition. It appears the severity of the pneumonia has shifted his condition from critical/stable to unstable.
Rabbonim visited with the rav’s son-in-law on Monday night, the eve of 12 Adar 5772, HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita to update him on the situation as well as to confer with him regarding the differences of opinion among physicians treating the gadol hador.
The tzibur is requested to continue being mispallel for Rav Yosef Sholom ben Chaya Musha b’soch kol cholei am yisrael.
In addition, the tzibur is requested to continue davening for HaGaon HaRav Yaakov [Chai ben Margalit] Yosef and HaGaon HaRav Chaim Yisrael ben Chana Tzirel Belsky b’soch kol cholei am yisrael.
