Two men in a span of four hours jumped onto the subway tracks this morning at 72nd Street and Broadway, causing headaches for commuters along the West Side, officials said.
The first incident occurred at about 8 a.m. when a man was struck by a northbound No. 1 train.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Roosevelt Hospital, according to fire officials.
Just before noon, a second person was hit by an uptown No. 2 train at the same station.
He was rushed in critical condition to St. Luke’s Hospital. He died a short time later.

Today was very poor timing to choose for suicide, because both on Jewish & secular calendar, there won’t always be a clear cut Yohrzeit.
February 29 is only here 97 times every 400 years, and 7/19th of the time, not clear cut Halachic determination, if his Yohrzeit is 6th Adar hoRishon or 6th Adar haSheni.
Causing headachs for commuters. Talk about callous!
