As the Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Yoel Shlita winds down his visit to Eretz HaKodesh, his last official visit was conducted on Thursday, 1 Rosh Chodesh Adar 5772 with Bnei Brak Mayor Rav Yaakov Asher. From that meeting the rebbe boarded a flight to the United States.
The mayor explained that he has done a great deal to have stores shut down by 11:00pm, which is a matter of concern for the rebbe. The rebbe feels one must get to sleep at a proper hour to permit one to get up and daven and learn properly, at the correct time.
Rav Asher explained that today, unlike in the past, the city “isn’t bustling during the late night hours”. The rebbe gave the mayor his bracha for his efforts to create this new reality in the torah city.

What?!? A Satmar official meeting with an employee of the Zionist state, namely the mayor of Bnei Brak, who is paid by the state? Sacrilege!

Split with the Eidah
Meeting with an Israeli official under pretext of an issue.
I am not Satmar and have no problem with all this, but Horav Aharon Shlit”a should change his Rabbisteh to Sighet, Zanta, or Oihel, anything but Satmar.
