NJ Assembly Passes Toeiva Marriage Bill; Christie Expected To Veto It

The New Jersey Assembly has passed the same-gender marriage bill, sending it to Gov. Chris Christie where it is expected to be vetoed.

Christie, a Republican who opposes gay marriage, has promised “very swift action” when the bill reaches his desk.

The state Senate approved the measure Monday. There, two Republicans voted for it and two Democrats voted against it.

Just on the slight possibility that the winning ’12 ticket is Romney-Christie.
