The Rosh Av Beis Din of the Eida Chareidis, HaGaon HaRav Moshe Sternbuch Shlita expressed concerns regarding the condition of Maran Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv Shlita.
In an event held on Sunday night, eve of 20 Shevat 5772 in Jerusalem’s Ateret Shalom Hall, the rav requested that everyone be Mispallel for Maran Rav Elyashiv.
There has been criticism of the Eida for not coming out publically and officially, with an atzeres tefilla and pashkavilim on behalf of the gadol hador, who remains in a cardiac intensive care unit in Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

Why is there criticism? Do they have to make a special announcement and spend money on posters if it is taken care of by others already?

How about the Eida Chredis also adding some Tefillos for health of & release of Jonathan Pollard? & release of Sholom Rubashkin & the Bochur in Japan?
I think the family did not “file a request” for a yom teffilah so there isn’t going to be one. They don’t take requests from others. Just like the bais yaakov!
