The Superbus Company received numerous complaints of harassment by an Arab driver against Jewish females. The driver usually operates on the 183 route. According to a Kol HaYehudi report, last week, a number of Jews decided to put a stop to his actions, waiting for him in Moshav Kaslon and beating him to teach him a lesson.

The incident occurred last week, Wednesday, February 1, 2012, as the driver, Hassan, arrived at the Beit Shemesh area moshav close to midnight. He reports “A number of Jews jumped me and beat me all over”. Assad filed a complaint with police and the latter detained two youths for questioning in the assault. They were released after being questioned.

Of late, there have been reports of harassment by Assad against Jewish females riding the bus, including one case in which he asked a woman when she would be alone at home.

Superbus officials were not available for comment.
