Despite the difficulties associated with the treatments for his diagnosed pancreatic cancer, Rabbi Yaakov Yosef is doing his utmost to continue giving shiurei Torah. Such was the case on Sunday night, arriving to find a packed house, including a brother, Rabbi David Yosef.
“I have been running around for months with abdominal pains” the rav explained, “and was unable to eat solid foods but no one could diagnose the cause. About two months ago they did a CAT scan and the growth was detected”.
The rav explained that a biopsy was done and doctors learned the growth is malignant and aggressive.
The rav gave a chizuk to those who came to hear his words, explaining for a frum Jew, for one who believes that Hashem runs the world and does not make mistakes, he understands that this is what must be and one does not lose hope, one does not despair, and one continues learning and davening to the best of one’s abilities.
