One of the skyscrapers planned for the World Trade Center site could end up far shorter than originally designed.
Sources tell NY1 developer Larry Silverstein will cap 3 World Trade at just seven stories if he can’t find a major tenant to occupy the building.
The tower was planned to reach 80 stories.
Sources say slight construction changes have already been made to allow the building to be capped.
If Silverstein finds a tenant at a later date, the cap could be taken off and construction could resume.
